" Mubtada khabar wa" is the name of a web platform dedicated to Channel Arabic the book. Its aim is to bring the book the reader in the Arab countries and, therefore, contribute to reinvigorate the Arab book market, improve its quality, providing information on a regular and independent, through a web platform .
" Mubtada wa khabar" is characterized by its content accessible to all and published in Arabic, French and English.
This novelty has five functions:
- Create a community around books, strengthen the book chain and allow the contents of the platform is generated by its users.
- Establish transparency in the market Arab and give more visibility to the book Arabic, through an exhaustive catalog of all Arab productions, whatever their language.
- Being a magazine devoted to the Arabic book and publish professional studies on the book trade.
- Establish an area where tools are published for professionals to contribute to the professionalization of the book through online training, and the creation of common standards in the practice of these professions.
- Finally becoming a News Box, a space for better communication on sector activity.
This project is operated by The Book House and supported by Beirut World Book Capital, the Lebanese Ministry of Culture, the Embassy of France (in the public reading FSP), the COBIAC (International Cooperation for the development of reading and libraries), in partnership with Bibliothèque nationale de France - Centre National Reading for Youth, Joy by books.
