A new television channel called Al Qarra (القارة) would be launched early June 2010 on Arabsat Badr 6 ..

Al Qarra would have its headquarters in Mauritius, but the offices are in Paris. According to its founders Al
QARRA fills a need to broadcast a news item African informing assets and performance of the continent from a public Arabic.
